Michael Lillis, Ph.D.

Michael Lillis

Dr. Michael P. Lillis began teaching at Medaille in 1992, where he has been a major catalyst for change and institution building initiatives. Dr. Lillis guided the original development and state certification of the M.B.A. curriculum and program offerings in Amherst. As a professor, Dr. Lillis directs the business internship program, and teaches courses in organizational behavior, human resources management, operations management, statistics, and business strategy in the undergraduate and graduate programs.

Having earned a Ph.D. in management and organizational behavior from the State University of New York at Buffalo, Dr. Lillis currently focuses his research on understanding how managers make decisions within organizations. He has numerous presentations and publications in the area of organizational justice, decision making, work design and organizational culture. As an organizational consultant, Dr. Lillis has conducted field research with the DuPont Chemical Company, Western New York Technology Development Center, Children’s Hospital of Buffalo and the Buffalo Police Department.

Jennifer Basile

After spending eight years at Blue Cross Blue Shield of WNY as an MIS manager, and instructing management information systems courses at several local colleges, Jennifer Basile joined the Medaille College faculty in 2009. She is working toward a Ph.D. in management science and systems from the University at Buffalo School of Management, and currently holds an associate degree in computer science, a bachelor's degree in business, a master's degree in international business, and a master of science in education degree. Basile is also a Microsoft Certified Professional in all MS Office products (MOUS Certified).

Kevin Bosner, Ph.D., C.M.A.

Kevin Bosner

Dr. Kevin Bosner began teaching in Medaille’s Business Department in 2007. Prior to this, he held positions at St. John Fisher College, SUNY Geneseo, SUNY Brockport, and RIT.

He has experience teaching courses in accounting, finance and management. Before he began his career in teaching, Bosner held management positions at such companies as Germanow-Simon, Chili Plastics, IMPCO Direct Marketing, and Case Hoyt Printers. He is a Certified Management Accountant and is also certified in Business Process Re-engineering.

Dr. Bosner holds an M.B.A. in finance & accounting from RIT, and completed his Ph.D. in organization and management from Capella University in 2007. He is a member of the Institute of Management Accountants, the Financial Executives Institute, the Society of Human Resource Managers, and Golden Key International Honour Society.

Richard L. Jacob, Ph.D.

Associate Professor and Director, Sport Management Program

Rich Jacob

Dr. Richard L. Jacob has been teaching and coaching at Medaille since 1995. He served as Medaille’s first full-time athletic director and first full-time head basketball coach. Currently a full-time faculty member, Dr. Jacob serves as director of the sport management degree program. He earned a Ph.D. in counseling, school and educational psychology from SUNY Buffalo, and M.S. in physical education from Canisius College, and an M.S.Ed. in educational counseling from Niagara University. Dr. Jacob teaches Sport Psychology, Sport History and Philosophy. He has a great interest in and has been highly involved in international sports over the past ten years. Patrick Johnson, M.B.A., C.P.A.

Patrick Johnson

Patrick Johnson joined Medaille College in 1992, bringing with him a diverse background in public and private accounting. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Niagara University and an M.B.A. in accounting and finance from Saint Bonaventure University. He is also a certified public accountant. Johnson is an active member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. Through the NYSSCPA he visits area high schools to promote the accounting profession. When not at work he is a music leader at his church and enjoys drawing and spending time with his children.

Kenneth Radig, MBA

Associate Professor

 

Kenneth Radig (kradig@medaille.edu) began teaching at Medaille in 1980, specializing in marketing, consumer behavior, direct and interactive marketing. He has also taught in the General Education program, with a continuing interest in education across the curriculum. He is especially interested in the integration of liberal arts and the career areas. Radig has studied theology, and has a great interest in religion and church affairs. He has a strong interest in music, especially classical, and he served as a church organist for many years. He also enjoys boating, having owned all types of boats from small runabouts to large cruisers.

Robert Tian, Ph.D.

Robert Tian

Dr. Robert Guang Tian began teaching at Medaille in 2005. Prior to this, he held positions as professor, Director of Business Administration and Director of International Education Service at Coker College, doctoral mentor at TUI University, associate professor at Erskine College, and academic dean of TAIE International Institute. Author and co-author of seven books and over 60 journal articles, Dr. Tian has received awards for published papers and for service from organizations in Canada, China and the United States. His grant-supported research and peer-reviewed publications have looked at anthropological approach to consumer behavior and cross-cultural studies in marketing.

Dr. Tian is one of the leading scholars in the field of business anthropology, the editor for International Journal of Business Anthropology and the editor for International Journal of China Marketing, both journals are peer reviewed referral journals published by North American Business Press. Dr. Tian has served as an associate editor for the peer-reviewed journal Applied Anthropologist for over 10 years; he has also served as an editorial board member for the Journal of American Academy of Business, Cambridge, since 2001.

Dr. Robert Tian earned a Ph.D. from York University with a specialization in social anthropology, with a post-doctoral M.B.A. from Wilfrid Laurier University in marketing and management, a master's degree in economics from the Central University of Nationalities in China, and continued his graduate study in MBA-Plus program at Iona College.
