Enrolling as an undecided major allows students the opportunity to explore various fields and courses. Undecided students are encouraged to take advantage of resources available through Academic and Support Services. Undecided students may find that taking interest, personality, and career inventories are helpful when determining choice of major. Discussing potential field experiences, internships or other career-oriented courses with instructors may provide additional information that will assist student when deciding their major.
The Career Planning Center, the Advisement Center, Department Chairs, program faculty, and other College staff are available to provide additional support to undecided students. Students are encouraged to discuss their career aspirations and interests with College faculty and staff.
Undecided students are required to declare a major by the time they have successfully completed 48 credit hours. Students must discuss their choice of program with their present Academic Advisor and the chair of the program of interest.
The instructors were knowledgeable and welcomed class discussions, with
respect for each student's contribution. I've learned how to be a more
effective leader. My capstone class gave insight on how to combine all
the education learned to operate a business. That's when I realized how
much I had sharpened my knowledge.
