Alumni Referral Scholarship
This scholarship was established to offer alumni the opportunity to do two good deeds at once: help a deserving student achieve their higher education goals and assist in recruiting an exciting incoming class! The Alumni Referral Scholarship is a grant of $1,000 renewable for four years as long as the student maintains full-time status and satisfactory academic progress. Alumni can help a student save as much as $4,000 during the course of his/her studies at Medaille.
To apply for this scholarship, all prospective freshmen or transfer students must be nominated by a Medaille College alumnus. To be nominated, an alumnus must complete the alumni referral application on behalf of the desired prospective freshmen or transfer student. An important part of this application is the letter of recommendation from the referring alumnus stating why they are referring the student.
An application that does not include a letter of recommendation from the referring alumnus will not be considered complete and will not be reviewed. Any prospective freshman or transfer student may be nominated at any point during the admissions process; however, the completed application must be received by the posted deadline (listed below). Students must be attending the Buffalo Campus and must enroll in full-time undergraduate studies. A student can receive one Alumni Referral Scholarship to pursue his/her degree.
Each alumnus may only refer one student per academic year. Alumni must complete the Alumni Referral Scholarship Form by the associated deadline:
The Alumni Admissions Coordinator will review all nominations that meet the above criteria and will contact all students receiving the scholarship. For any questions regarding the Alumni Referral Scholarship, please contact:

The instructors were knowledgeable and welcomed class discussions, with
respect for each student's contribution. I've learned how to be a more
effective leader. My capstone class gave insight on how to combine all
the education learned to operate a business. That's when I realized how
much I had sharpened my knowledge.
