Medaille began its Local Educator Speaker Series with Kristen Streit '06, gifted program specialist at Transit Middle School in the Williamsville Central School District. Her school was recently ranked first among area middle schools by Buffalo Business First. Speaking on the importance of enriching curriculum to meet all learners' needs, she also talked about technology resources and of teaching with curriculum standards as the backbone of a strong educational program. She provided participants with resources, models and graphic organizers for us in their classrooms.
The series continues through the end of June. Please visit the alumni web site for a full schedule and registration information.
Streit stands at the lecturn with students in the Canadian education program: Filomena Coote, Matthew Zagarrio, Streit and Tracy Ann Townsend.

The instructors were knowledgeable and welcomed class discussions, with
respect for each student's contribution. I've learned how to be a more
effective leader. My capstone class gave insight on how to combine all
the education learned to operate a business. That's when I realized how
much I had sharpened my knowledge.
