On August 15, a full field of golfers converged at Transit Valley Country Club for an afternoon of golf and an evening of remembrance in honor of Allen Lee Downing. 

Downing, a student in the MBA program, passed away in 2005 following a tragic motorcycle accident. His passion for learning inspired family and friends to establish a scholarship in his name. 

This scholarship benefits four students each year who mirror Allen's commitment to education and community service. In 2011, those recipients were Erin Driscoll '12, LaShaya Washington '12, Chelsea White '11 and Rocco Zambito '12.
