In celebration of "50 years of reaching readers", the Niagara Frontier Reading Council will present its 50th annual fall conference in collaboration with Medaille College on Saturday, October 1 from 8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.
The conference includes a keynote address by Jim Wright, author of The Savvy Teacher's Guide: Reading Interventions that Work. Author Maria DiVincenzo, who wrote The Scariest Dream Ever, will be in attendance, and attendees will participate in breakout sessions on technology and response to intervention, among others.
As an institution that has offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in education, Medaille has been a regular supporter of the NFRC as a host for monthly board meetings and other collaborations. Information about joining the Council and registering for this conference is available on the NFRC web site.

The instructors were knowledgeable and welcomed class discussions, with
respect for each student's contribution. I've learned how to be a more
effective leader. My capstone class gave insight on how to combine all
the education learned to operate a business. That's when I realized how
much I had sharpened my knowledge.
