Medaille College will deliver a bachelor of science in education in early childhood/childhood education at its Rochester campus beginning in January 2012.

Graduates of the program will receive a bachelor’s degree with certification in early childhood (Birth-2) and childhood (1-6). A Birth-6 certification makes graduates more marketable to public school districts and private schools.

The program features evening courses held two nights per week. Classes are taught by professors who have many years of classroom experience, with a focus on preparing students to teach in today’s technology-focused classroom.

This program is for transfer students looking to complete an education degree. Medaille’s admissions team will consider previous college credits in developing individualized plans for students to complete the degree. Students will be considered full-time, and may qualify for financial aid opportunities through Medaille, and through state and federal programs.

Medaille’s Rochester campus is located off I-590 on South Winton Road in the town of Brighton. Open in this location since 2009, Medaille has had a presence in Rochester since 2002, and currently delivers undergraduate and graduate business degrees, and a master’s degree in mental health counseling, through this campus.

I'm grateful for the education I've received.

The instructors were knowledgeable and welcomed class discussions, with
respect for each student's contribution. I've learned how to be a more
effective leader. My capstone class gave insight on how to combine all
the education learned to operate a business. That's when I realized how
much I had sharpened my knowledge.
