Continuing in its annual tradition, the Department of Communication will be collecting items for patients and their families at Women and Children's Hospital in Buffalo. This joint effort with the Buffalo Police Department will gather the following donations until Friday, December 2.

  • wrapped gifts of toys for any child, ages newborn to 18 years of age;
  • cash donations to help families pay for parking;
  • donations to help the Stone Buddies (used children books, or new books, new toys and non-perishable foods; VCR tapes and DVDs);
  • non-perishable foods to restock parent lounges (individually wrapped; granola bars, soup, microwaveable foods, microwavable popcord, snack-size cookies and crackers; fruit and pudding cups).

Donations can be dropped off with Lisa Marsherall, chair of the Department of Communication, in M023 on the Buffalo Campus, or at the WMCB-TV station in M010.

I'm grateful for the education I've received.

The instructors were knowledgeable and welcomed class discussions, with
respect for each student's contribution. I've learned how to be a more
effective leader. My capstone class gave insight on how to combine all
the education learned to operate a business. That's when I realized how
much I had sharpened my knowledge.
