In January, Medaille students travelled to Costa Rica, accompanied by Melisa Williams, director of student involvement and the center for multicultural education and diversity.
The trip was the fifth study abroad trip, planned through College Study Tours, that has been available for students to participate in.
The nine day trip provided students with a unique learning opportunity. While there, students participated in experiential learning including a trip to InBiopraque, a boat tour of Cano Negro Wildlife, and a visit to Manuel Antonio National Park. Students also participated in environmental activities which included planting trees at the Santa Elena Cloud Forest.
Next year's study abroad trip, scheduled for May 2015 is to Eastern Europre where students will explore four out of the top 10 cities in Europe. More information on that trip is available here. Or, you can contact Melisa Williams at (716) 880-2351 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
The instructors were knowledgeable and welcomed class discussions, with
respect for each student's contribution. I've learned how to be a more
effective leader. My capstone class gave insight on how to combine all
the education learned to operate a business. That's when I realized how
much I had sharpened my knowledge.
