Fulbright Association Holds Fall Conference at Medaillenext

The Western New York and Northwestern Pennsylvania (WNY/NWPA) Chapter of the Fulbright Association held its fall conference, “Advancing the Power of International Academic Exchange,” at Medaille College on October 20. The conference was attended by Medaille students and faculty, visiting Fulbrighters, and professionals interested in applying for a Fulbright scholarship to study abroad. The keynote speaker, Eva Hassett, executive director of the International Institute of Buffalo, discussed the impact of global issues on Western New York.

Conference attendees had the chance to attend break-out sessions to learn more about each of the Fulbright Awards and the application process. Short- and long-term Fulbright grant opportunities are available in more than 130 countries. The conference was sponsored by the WNY/NWPA Chapter of the Fulbright Association and Medaille College.
