Program of the Month Roundup: Clinical Mental Health Counseling (M.A.)

Medaille’s Program of the Month (POTM) series highlighted students, faculty and alumni from the College’s master of arts in clinical mental health counseling (CMHC) program in December 2017. The program, which is offered at Buffalo, Rochester and online, has proven to address a vital need in the Western New York community.

Medaille College Board of Trustees member and the president/CEO of BestSelf Behavioral Health, Dr. Howard K. Hitzel shares his unique understanding of the behavioral health field and Medaille’s CMHC program: “The CMHC program at Medaille College is a much needed resource in our community. The demand for behavioral health services in WNY has never been greater, resulting in a tremendous need for competent, well-trained clinicians. The CMHC program holds students to high professional standards, and prepares them to enter the workforce upon graduation.”
