Student Teaching Timetable of Important Dates

Dates	Activity
September 15, for a spring semester placement February 15, for a fall semester placement	Submit documentation for student teaching placement requests
Early December for those student teachers beginning January Mid-July, for those student teachers beginning September	Confirmed placement to students via Medaille email
Exams are usually available in October, December, February, April, May, July, August	Write and pass the New York State Teacher Certification Examinations (LAST, ATSW, CST)
December 1st for December graduates May 1st for May and June graduates August 1st for August graduates	Submit Medaille College Recommendation Form for a New York State Teaching Certificate to the Office of Student Teaching/Certification
Exit meeting dates are early December for fall semester student teachers and Early May for spring semester student teachers	Submit required student teaching documents at the Student Teaching Exit Meetings
May 31 conferral apply by March 1 June 30 conferral apply by March 1 August 31 conferral apply by July 1 December 31 conferral apply by Nov 1	Apply for college graduation and submit form to Registrar's Office, pay fee
May, June, August, December of each year	Conferral of degree (BS or MS degree)
May of each year	Participation in cap and gown graduation ceremony for students who are eligible
