About Jennifer Garofalo
Dr. Garofalo grew up on Long Island and graduated from Longwood High School in 1992. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Biology from C.W. Post/LIU in 1996. Dr. Garofalo was accepted by Cornell University and graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. She became a Diplomate of the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine in 2013.
Dr. Garofalo has experience in shelter medicine, emergency medicine, lab animal medicine as well as in private practice. She has been associated with Medaille College in various capacities since 2014. Dr. Garofalo typically teaches Introduction to Lab Animal Medicine, Advanced Lab Animal Medicine, Small Animal Disease and Nutrition, Small Animal Surgery and Anesthesia, and Zoonotic Diseases.
Dr. Garofalo has a special interest in small animal surgery and exotic anima medicine. In her spare time she raises bees, rides horses, and visits a local middle school with her therapy dog, Enzo.
