About Kathleen Maley

Katie Maley earned her Veterinary Technology degree from the State University of New York at Delhi.  She worked in Shelter Medicine and Companion Animal private practice until joining Medaille’s Veterinary Technology Program staff in 1996.  Maley continued her education and experience by earning certification as a Veterinary Technician Specialist in Emergency and Critical Care and also works at the Greater Buffalo Veterinary Emergency Clinic. 

Katie has published articles in the Veterinary Technician®, a national peer-reviewed continuing education journal.  She was honored by the WNY Veterinary Medical Association with the “Outstanding Service to Veterinary Medicine Award” and also received Medaille’s Employee Staff  Award for excellence in job performance.

Katie volunteers as a Guiding Eyes for the Blind Puppy Raiser preparing pups for the noble career as a guide dog for the visually impaired.
