Dr. Marla Britton joined Medaille College in 2011 as an adjunct professor in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program. In 2019, she began her core faculty role as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Graduate Counseling and Psychology. Dr. Britton completed a dual Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling from the University of Rochester then went on to earn a Doctorate in Counseling, Counselor Education, and Human Development from the University of Rochester.

Dr. Britton has been in private practice since 2007 in Rochester, New York. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York State and holds the National Certified Counselor (NCC) and Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) certifications from the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC).

Dr. Britton is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), the New York Mental Health Counselors Association (NYMHCA), the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES), the North Atlantic Region Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (NARACES), and the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC).
