Dr. Nowak has been a core faculty member in Medaille’s clinical mental health counseling master’s degree program since 2014. His fields of specialization include group counseling, grief and loss counseling, gambling and addiction studies, counselor wellness and self-care, and online course construction and instruction. His dissertation, “A Meta-Analytical Synthesis and Examination of Pathological and Problem Gambling Rates Among College Students and Student-Athletes,” reflects his concern for helping young people struggling with addiction, specifically gambling.
