Department of Counseling & Clinical Psychology Clinical Assistant Professor Dr. Hennessey Lustica recently wrote and published a children’s book titled Masks & Smiles. As a school-based mental health provider and parent herself, Dr. Lustica wanted to address the impact that wearing masks can have on the social and emotional wellness of elementary-aged children, especially with the return to school this fall.

A grant Medaille received through HRSA’s Behavioral Health Workforce Education and Training Program allows many of its clinical mental health counseling students who are completing internships with underserved populations to receive $10,000 stipends.

Join me, Nick LaMarca an adjunct instructor with the Clinical Mental Health Program, and a quarter of a million people from hundreds of cities across all 50 states to raise awareness and funds that will save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide.

Clinical Mental Health Counseling students and Program Director Dr. Helena Boersma joined over 50 peers from across New York State to lobby for changes in the state licensure bill.

Dr. Donald E. Nowak, Jr., will have two articles published this fall related to his research into college student-athletes and gambling disorder.

The Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs has granted accreditation to Medaille’s Master of Arts program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling offered at the College’s Buffalo and Rochester campuses.
