Three undergraduate Medaille College students recently shared testimonies about their spring 2020 Management Information Systems course with Assistant Professor of the Practice Jonas J. Patricko, D.B.A. Here, Junior Mackenzie (Mack) Baker, Senior Brock Kroening and Sophomore Martin Romero share their thoughts on the switch to online learning and how Dr. Patricko helped make it a smooth transition for them.
Junior Mack Baker:
Professor Patricko led my MIS 240 course during the transition to online learning due to the current health pandemic. Speaking from my own experience as a student in the class, I feel that his consistent communication via email and the quick weekly online lectures were key to the easy transition I experienced. He helped us feel completely confident and in-the-loop throughout the transition. I thank him so much!
Senior Brock Kroening:
I appreciate all Dr. J did for our class. He is always available when someone in his class needs to contact him, and always responds quickly. He made it an easy transition to the online learning experience, and he ran the course in a way that it was easy to learn the material and retain the information. Our digital class meetings, PowerPoints and daily talks were always interesting and engaging. I thank him for everything he has done!
Sophomore Martin Romero:
At first I thought it was going to be very challenging converting all on-campus classes to online classes, but I found that Professor Patricko really played a helping hand in the whole process and consistently made sure his students were able to reach him. He was there for any help we needed or to answer any questions we had, and he made the whole switch easier for us students. I appreciate the hospitality!
